Tahaa, French Polynesia (Scenic Cruising)
Tahaa, known as the "vanilla island," is responsible for most of the vanilla produced in French Polynesia. This tiny undeveloped island shares a common lagoon with Raiatea, and is only accessible by boat. It's also the only island in the Society Islands that can be completely circled by boat within its protected lagoon. Tahaa is an idyllic spot to cruise its tranquil bays and deserted islets that dot the reefs.
Pearl Farms
As leading exporters of black pearls, the farms produce most of the world's beautiful black orbs.
Vanilla Plantations
Polynesian Vanilla has earned a global reputation for being the best in the world.
Sea Turtles
An endangered species, the turtles on Tahaa are protected in a nature preserve and turtle sanctuary.
